I am re building a 1971 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus with a few modifications such as a black bucket seat interir with a T-handle shifter and console (currently a column and the T-handle isn't for sure yet even though I have the console bought), a built 360 (hopefully pushing more than 400hp; original motor was ruined), 727 tranny, and black metallic paint, disk brakes all around and a hidden stero system. As you can tell it is more of a resto mod and I understand that some people think that that isn't cool but it is the only option I have for now. I hope to get a #s matching 72 bb roadrunner within a few years though and it will be restored not restomoded.

Josh good luck in both cases. Glad to see the younger folks into the Old Iron. Resto-mod or Restoration!!!! We need more young guns in the Hobby.
Good luck and ask any and all questions you may have.

Don't worry I will be asking lots of questions. AS a matter of fact heres one: What color should I paint the car? Rally Red (the original) or Black like I said earlier.

Hmmm, I say you go with the red 'cuz I'm going with black! lol And Scotty D found some cool shined chrome paint in Eastwoods stuff that I wanna use for the strobes over the roof. I guess whoever has the $$ to do it first huh? [We're not looking at any time soon, so I reserve the right to change my mind!] And I'm a firm believer in resto-mod. What's the fun if you can't make it 'yours'. who cares what the 'critics' say, I don't have enough time to listen to all the 'rules' and 'regulations'. what works for me ain't gonna work for everyone else, so like the sign says in my kitchen - take it or leave it! Thanks ~laurie

Yea. I am mostly adding options that I didn't already have like dual exhaust, console shift with racing shifter (factory racing shifter), Black bucket seat interior, Factory in dash tach, tuff steering wheel, and maybe the go wing spoiler. I may just beat you to the black since we are moving full steam ahead on the body work as soon as I get enough money to buy the rear patch panels. Did I mention that I may be buying a '72 Roadrunner the end of this summer?
